Prayers of thanksgiving to the Lord and Mother of God. Prayer of gratitude to Jesus Christ for the accomplishment of the deed

Faith in God is the basis of soul salvation for every Orthodox believer. Sincere prayer can work real miracles, but the most important thing is that it helps a person take the righteous and true path that will lead him to the Kingdom of God, it can inspire a person to do good and open his heart. The Church believes that gratitude is one of the most important Christian feelings. Prayers of thanksgiving directed to the Lord God are very important for every believer. It should be understood that it is imperative to thank the Almighty for help in business.

Gratitude expressed to the Lord God in prayer is a ray of light that will help expel resentment and anger, hatred and disgust from the soul. Thanks to the Almighty, a person claims that he has learned the lessons sent down and made the right conclusions.

What is a prayer of gratitude

The Prayer of Gratitude is a special prayer that must arise in a person’s heart. It should be remembered that if it is pronounced correctly, it can radically change the life of a believer. After all, it is in this way that you can make it clear to the Lord that you humbly accept everything that he gives in real life. You are grateful to him not only for the joys, but also for the trials that he sends you. The Church offers a special way of offering thanksgiving - this is a thanksgiving prayer to the Savior. Every believer can order it in any church, but it should be remembered that it is mandatory to attend such a service.

Each person can offer a prayer of thanksgiving to God or his Holy Helpers in his own way. There are no strict rules about this. But due to the different characters of people, some believers do it easily, while others experience certain difficulties during prayer.

Difficulties with a prayer of thanks arise for a believer when serious difficulties and obstacles arise on the path of life. But we must remember that it is impossible to grumble at God in any situation, because trials from above are not sent to us in vain. All obstacles on the path of life arise when the Almighty wants to show a person that he is leading a lifestyle that is displeasing to God’s plan. And this, first of all, can be disastrous for the person himself. Therefore, if it seems to you that everything in your life is not working out as you would like, just pray and offer your thanksgiving to God in a prayerful appeal.

Lord God

A believer should get into the habit of thanking God for everything that happens to him in the real world, namely:

  • In general, for the opportunity to live and feel;
  • For moving forward and the ability to make decisions in any situation;
  • For victories and rewards for labor;
  • For life lessons and challenges that allow you to gain invaluable experience;
  • For everything valuable in life: family, children, parents, friends, shelter over your head, work and even your beloved pets.

You can thank the Lord at any time with these simple prayer words:

“Lord, I, the Servant of God (my own name), thank You for my wonderful life, filled with light, for the wonderful and happy feelings that are present in my soul, for the fact that I can be merciful to others, for giving me the fire of insight and mercy.
I, the Servant of God (my own name), praise You and thank You, Almighty, for the fact that your instructions help me realize all my internal accumulations. I am grateful to You for the fruitful path in life that You have sent down and for the opportunity to fulfill my destiny.
I, the Servant of God (my own name), glorify You and thank You, Almighty, for the prosperity and peace in my home. I am grateful to you for the atmosphere of kindness and understanding between household members, for the loyalty of wonderful friends who always come to my home with an open soul.
I, the Servant of God (my own name), glorify You and thank You, Almighty, for the good that You have sent down for all people. I rejoice and accept everything around me with bright thoughts and an open soul.
I, the Servant of God (my own name), praise You and thank You, Almighty, for the fact that everything around me is filled every minute with streams of Your wisdom and love. Your strength helps you choose the right path and hope for the Eternal Salvation of the Soul. Amen".

Thank you for having mercy and giving me forgiveness, for delivering me from my serious illness and for saving me, a sinner, from hopelessness that could kill me. There is another very important prayer for every believer from St. John of Kronstatt, which is read after deliverance from temptations and enmity.

Its text reads as follows:

My Lord, Almighty and All-Merciful Lord Jesus Christ! My speedy Intercessor, I thank You for your mercy towards me. When I called out to you in the darkness, you quickly responded and graciously delivered me from my enemies. My soul was filled with light and lightness. I praise Your grace, Master, for delivering me from dishonor and not allowing me to despair and fall into the damned world. I will always glorify Your name for You are a Lover of mankind. Amen".

“I thank You, my Lord, the All-Merciful and Almighty, for not rejecting me, a sinner, the Servant of God (my own name), but allowing me to join Your Holy Things. I thank You, the Almighty, for deigning me, unworthy (unworthy), to partake of Your most pure and heavenly Gifts.

I ask, Lord, Lover of Mankind, who died for the sake of us living, and subsequently resurrected, who gave us these terrible, but also life-giving Sacraments of God for the purpose of benefit and sanctification of the souls and bodies of people, make them help me heal my soul and body. So that they give spiritual strength to repel the attack of any enemy, so that enlightenment comes in my heart, and I see with my eyes the righteous path.

So that they strengthen my faith in the Lord Almighty, so that they fill my life with wisdom and unfeigned love. So that the holy sacraments give me the opportunity to endlessly glorify Your grace and Your Kingdom. So that I, Slave(s) of God(s) (proper name) will be forever preserved by them and remember your boundless mercy and live not only for myself, but for the Most High Master and Benefactor.

When the time comes to leave real life in the hope of eternal life, so that I can reach the place of eternal peace in Heaven next to You. For I recognize that You are the true goal of my life’s aspiration and of all people on earth. I sing and thank You, Lord. Amen".

In Orthodoxy, it is customary to turn to God in prayer on almost every occasion. By their nature, prayers are classified into supplication, doxology and thanksgiving. The latter also includes a special sequence called “Prayers of Thanksgiving for Communion.” They will be given below in Russian translation, accompanied by a brief commentary.

Opening Prayer

These prayers are read, as the name suggests, after communion. They are not included in the rites of the liturgy, and are expected to be read at home. However, in practice, the text of the prayer is most often read in church after the service is over.

It begins with the words “Glory to you, God,” repeated three times.

First prayer

The first prayer of thanks to the Lord God sounds like this:

“I thank you, Lord, my God, for you did not abandon me, a sinner, but deigned me to partake of your shrines. I thank you that you deigned me to partake of your heavenly and most pure gifts. But, the philanthropic Lord, who died for us and risen, and gave us these terrifying and life-creating sacraments for the good and sanctification of our souls and bodies, make them a source of healing for my soul and body. May they protect me from every enemy and enlighten the eyes of my heart. they will give me peace in my soul, true faith, love, devoid of hypocrisy, fill me with wisdom, help me keep your commandments. May they apply your grace to me and lead me into your kingdom. I, protected by them in your holiness, will constantly remember Your grace and not for my own sake, I will begin to live, but for the sake of you, our ruler and benefactor. And, having lived my life, hoping for eternal life, I will achieve eternal peace, where the voice of those celebrating is constantly heard and the apparently endless rapture of those who contemplate your unspeakable goodness. Because you are the true desire and unspeakable joy of those who love you, Christ our God. And all created things praise you forever. Amen!".

As the context suggests, this is a prayer of gratitude to Jesus Christ, who in the Orthodox Church is revered as God in the literal sense of the word. The next prayer is dedicated to him.

Second prayer

This prayer of thanksgiving to Jesus Christ is attributed to the hand of St. Basil the Great.

“Lord, Christ God! King of the ages and creator of everything! I thank you for all the good that you have given me, and for the communion of your most pure and life-giving sacraments. I beg you, good and loving people, keep me under your care and under the shade of your wings. Grant me, in purity of conscience, until my very last breath, in dignity, to partake of your shrines for the sake of remission of sins and eternal life. Because you are the bread of life, the source of holiness, the dispenser of blessings, and to you I send glory with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever!”

The next prayer of thanks after communion, like the first two, is also addressed to Christ. In general, in the entire sequence, there are four of them, and the meaning in them is approximately the same - thanksgiving for the gift of the sacrament. Therefore, when they want to reduce the rank, they choose one of them and omit the rest.

Third prayer

This prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord God is believed to belong to Saint Symeon Metaphrastes.

“Having given me your own flesh for food, you are fire! You burn the unworthy, but you did not sleep on me, my creator! Then penetrate into all parts of my body, into all joints, into the belly, into the heart. Incinerate the thickets of all my sins. Cleanse my soul and make my thoughts holy. Enlighten my five senses. Penetrate me with your fear. Forever cover, preserve and protect me from any deed or word that harms the soul. Wash me and make me pure and beautiful in soul, kind, reasonable and enlightened by your light ". Make me the abode of only your spirit and not at all the abode of sin. Let all evil and all passions flee from me, your temple, like from fire, as if from fire. I represent for myself as prayer books all the saints, the angelic hierarchy, your forerunner, the wise the apostles and your pure mother, removed from all filth! With their prayers, O Christ, accept me and make me, your servant, a son of light, since you are the source of our sanctification and the only good light for our souls. And to you, as God and ruler, we all send glory every day!”

The following prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord God is without authorship. In addition, of all four, it is the shortest.

Fourth Prayer

This prayer of gratitude to the Lord God sounds like this:

“May your holy body, O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, become for me the source of eternal life! And your honored blood - the remission of sins. And may this thanksgiving become for me a source of joy, health and prosperity. When will your awesome second coming come , you deign me, a sinner, to stand at your right hand in your greatness, through the prayers of your most pure mother and all the saints."

Fifth prayer

This prayer of thanksgiving after communion is dedicated to Our Lady.

“All-holy Lady, Mother of God, the light of my darkened soul, my hope, cover, refuge, source of consolation, my joy! I thank you for deigning me, despite my unworthiness, to become a partaker of the most pure body and honored blood of your son. But she who gave birth to the light truth, enlighten my inner eyes of the heart. And, as one who gave birth to the source of immortality, revive me, killed by sin. As one who gave birth to a merciful God, O mother, whose womb is filled with goodness and love, have mercy on me and grant me a contrite heart and humility in thoughts and bring me back from the captivity of my sinful thoughts. Vouchsafe me until my very last breath, without condemnation, to accept sanctification from the most pure mysteries for the healing of soul and body. And grant me tears for repentance and correction, so that I can sing and glorify you all the days of my life, for you blessed and full of glory throughout all ages! Amen!"

This is where the prayers of thanks actually end. Next in order are several more texts that have a broader meaning. For example, the following text is a prayer of gratitude to God for help, taken from the Bible, where it was put into the mouth of one of the righteous who were preparing to face death after fulfilling their destiny. The dying prayer is included in this rite as evidence of the communicant’s readiness to go to God if this suddenly happens for any reason.

Sixth prayer

“On this day you release your servant in peace, O lord, in accordance with your words. Because my eyes have seen the salvation that came from you, which you prepared before your face for all people. The light of revelation to the nations and the glory of your inheritance - Israel.” .

This is a prayer read at the funeral service, as well as during every evening service.

Trisagion

But this short and very ancient prayer comes from Byzantium. According to legend, it was not composed by anyone, but it was sung by angels during an earthquake in the city, of which one of the children received a vision. Since then it has been read at every Orthodox service.

It sounds like this:

“Holy God, holy strong, holy immortal, have mercy on us. It is read according to tradition three times.” This is followed by the words: “Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. And today and always and forever and ever. Amen.” This is what is commonly called “Glory today.”

Prayer to the Trinity

This is followed by another prayer, recited at each service. This is a short prayer to the Trinity.

“All-Holy Trinity, have mercy on us! Lord, cleanse us from our sins. Master, forgive us our iniquities. Holy One, condescend to us and heal us from our weaknesses, for the sake of your name. Lord, have mercy!” This is followed by "Glory and Today."

"Our Father"

The next prayer in order is the famous “Our Father.” We will not provide the text of the prayer, since this is not necessary.

Closing Prayers

At the very end there are a few more short texts. Firstly, these are the so-called troparion and kontakion to the saint whose liturgy was served, that is, the saint whose pen the text of the liturgy was served belongs to. Since there are many liturgies, the troparia will change. And therefore we will not present them here.

At the very end, “Lord, have mercy on us,” “Glory today,” and this text is read twelve times: “With honor surpassing the cherubim and glory without comparison eclipsing the seraphim, who gave birth to God the Word in virginity, we honor you as the true Mother of God!” .

Secret prayers to thank God.

Secret prayers to thank God.

Prayers of thanksgiving are words directed to the Saints in gratitude for happiness and peace. Often when everything is fine with a person, his life goes on as usual and problems have passed, he takes it for granted.

And in moments when adversity and troubles overcome, many ask heaven why they have such trials. This is how a person is designed that he takes all good things for granted, but as for adversity, they are considered something undeserved. A believer will call grace and happiness the mercy of God, and problems and troubles - retribution for sins. He will thank the Lord for peace and happiness and pray to prevent retribution for sins.

With this, a person asks to forgive him for mistakes and wrong decisions, and changes his thinking to a positive one. And for this, in particular, prayers of gratitude are used.

Virgin Mary is the Most Holy Theotokos who gave birth to the savior Jesus Christ. The Gospel contains very little information regarding the Mother of God. Betrothed to Elder Joseph, at the age of fourteen she made a vow of devotion to God. Her husband Joseph took care of her and provided her with everything she needed. They lived in Nazareth, where Archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary, who told her that she would give birth to a human savior.

Prayers of thanksgiving are read to her for bringing the Savior. Representatives of the fair half of humanity often ask her about a child, marriage, happiness in family life. In general, any women's problems are addressed to the Mother of God, to whom words should be read not only with requests, but also with thanksgiving. After a woman asks her for what she dreams of, you need to read words of gratitude. In addition, these same words should be repeated when everything the woman dreamed of comes true.

Here is one example of words of gratitude to the Most Holy Theotokos.

“To the Mother of God, Mother of God, I direct my song, I glorify and thank the Virgin Mary! All Angels and Archangels serve and worship You, all authorities and rulers obey You. Glory to Your belly, glory to Your greatness! You gave the world a human Savior, You gave everyone a chance to live and exist! You protect all women and mothers, You endow them with strength and fortitude! You helped me in my life, for which my gratitude is limitless! I am destined to glorify Your name and trust in the mercy of the Lord! For all that I have, I thank You, worldly, I bow to You. In this song I’m not asking for help, but I’m paying tribute, thanking you for peace! I pray for the sins of my family and for my family, I ask for mercy! Amen! Amen! Amen!"

It is believed that each of us is accompanied from birth by an Angel sent from heaven to earth precisely for these purposes. In order to have your own angel, it is not at all necessary to be baptized or profess Christianity. Many people confuse guardian angels with Saints.

The first were never human, they are divine, incorporeal and immortal. As for the Saints, they are the righteous who have ever lived on earth. The angel, at his own discretion, decides how and when to help a person, or not to help.

And in order to establish strong contact with your angel, prayers are intended. In addition, they help those who do not swear, do not have bad habits, live according to the laws of God and do not hold or carry evil within themselves.

Angels often save people in situations where it would seem that all hope is lost. But even if such situations have not happened in your life, there is something to thank the angels for. And it’s worth starting with the fact that he accompanies you everywhere.

The prayer is read seven times in the morning:

“I praise and thank the Lord God for his mercy, I turn to my Guardian Angel, With gratitude, with worship, with feeling! Thank you for your daily help, for your participation! For intercession before the face of the Lord, for mercy! My gratitude knows no end and edge, Every day it increases and grows! Amen!"

This prayer is read several times a month, ideally every week. Before reading the magic words, you need to clear your thoughts and mind of any negative thoughts and unpleasant feelings.

Nikolai Ugodnik or, as he is also called, Nikolai the Wonderworker is considered a very important figure; many prayers and petitions of people are addressed to him. From childhood, he chose for himself the path of serving the Lord, and when he grew up, he became the Archbishop of Lycia. He did everything to help people, asked the Lord for the forgiveness of sinners, the healing of the sick, and the salvation of the weak.

Nowadays, many people, regardless of what religion they profess, ask Nicholas for a miracle. And very often a miracle happens in the lives of those who ask. But here, too, you shouldn’t just ask for something, but also give thanks for what has already happened or will happen in the future.

This prayer is read twelve times before lunch:

“Great Wonderworker, all-praised Nicholas! I turn to You, not for help, but with gratitude. I pray to You, faithful protector and helper of the human race, for forgiveness for our sins, for our weaknesses! Thank you for a peaceful life, for family happiness, for prosperity and tranquility, for peace and grace! I praise Your bright name, I direct my prayer to You! Amen!"

Read the prayer when everything is fine with you. Try not to remember the Saints only in those moments when everything is bad for you. Prayers of this kind will help you avoid difficult trials in life and make your path full of positive events.

Prayer to Jesus Christ.

It is best to repeat this text several times a month, once at a time. A prayer is said at dawn.

“Thy Holy Body, Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Our God, may our thoughts be filled with it, our thoughts be full! Your Honest Blood will help us in atonement for human sins, I send my word of gratitude to you, I say my heartfelt thanks to you! For joy and health, for fun and happiness, for Your coming, for redemption! Amen!"

This text of gratitude is read only once, but it should be pronounced with feeling and arrangement. It is best to learn the prayer by heart rather than read it from a piece of paper. In any case, before using it, it is recommended to repeat the words several times so that when you read, you do not stumble, but speak from your heart.

Remember, you need to thank only when your thoughts and intentions are pure. It is best not to use prayers for selfish purposes, since there will be no benefit from them.

Prayers come in many different forms and must come from the heart. If you hold grudges or hatred, then it is best not to read prayers, since in such a state they will not make sense. If you are ready to express your gratitude to the Saints, the Lord, and the Angels, then it is not at all necessary to use previously learned words. You can come up with your own prayer. To do this, it’s enough to retire for a while and write on a blank white piece of paper everything for which you want to thank the Higher Powers.

You can also improvise. To do this, it is enough, at the moment of reading the words of gratitude, to say everything that you think about, for which you are grateful. Such words must come from the heart, and gratitude must be pure and sincere. It is best to read words in the first half of the day. It is not recommended to read such prayers at sunset, in the evening or at night.

At such a crucial moment, the person in the room should be alone with his thoughts, he should not be distracted by anything. Therefore, it is best to make sure in advance that the windows and doors are closed, the telephone and TV are turned off.

Prayers are read in a half-whisper and a little into a chant. It is not at all necessary to repeat the words loudly and in full voice, since with such pronunciation the mystery of the ritual is lost.

Prayers of thanksgiving are most often read in the first half of the day. Remember, they should be used not only after you have asked for something, but also for prevention. Especially when everything is good!

Christians often turn to the Lord for help and this is normal. After all, this is our loving Father, who gives life itself and everything that fills the material universe. Today people en masse are turning to Orthodoxy, visiting churches, learning to pray. And that's great.

Only sometimes, in the midst of complaints and difficulties, we forget to thank God for everything we have. Every day a prayer of thanksgiving should be heard in homes. This fosters faith, patience and a humble spirit pleasing to the Lord.

Text of the Thanksgiving Prayer to the Lord for every day

“We thank Thee, Lord our God, for all Thy good deeds, even from the first age to the present, in us, Thy unworthy servants (names), who were, known and unknown, about those revealed and unmanifested, even those who were in deed and in word: who loved us Just as you deigned to give Your Only Begotten Son for us, make us worthy of Your love. Grant with Your word wisdom and with Your fear inhale strength from Your power, and whether we have sinned, whether willingly or unwillingly, forgive and not impute, and keep our soul holy, and present it to Thy Throne, having a clear conscience, and the end is worthy of Thy love for mankind; and remember, O Lord, all who call upon Thy name in truth, remember all who desire good or evil against us: for all are men, and every man is in vain; We also pray to You, Lord, grant us Your great mercy.”

The Importance of Gratitude

Every week, thanksgiving services are held in churches. Only there are not as many parishioners as there could be. Perhaps this is because they do not fully understand the importance of this movement of the soul. It was not by chance that the Holy Church included prayers of thanksgiving in the daily morning rule. St. Ignatius (Brianchaninov) explains how Christians benefit from reading them every day:

  • strengthen their faith in God;
  • receive the comfort of the Holy Spirit;
  • gain a better understanding of Bible teaching.

Blessing the name of God is truly a worthy activity. King David wrote about this in his psalms: “Praise the name of the Lord,” he urged everyone. This does not require a special occasion, because the greatness of creation is constantly before our eyes. And it’s not the Lord’s fault that we don’t notice him.

What to be grateful for:

  • The Lord Jesus Christ gave His life for our transgressions, endured terrible torment, being holy.
  • Because the Lord tolerates our sins.
  • Everything in life is given by God: human talents, good aspirations, family, food and clothing, the ability to breathe and hear children's laughter.

A good spiritual exercise is to find a few things in your life for which you can thank the Creator. Think about this and say the following prayer to the Lord:

“The council of saints, Angels and Archangels, with all the heavenly powers, sings to Thee, and says: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts, heaven and earth are filled with Thy glory. Hosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest. Save me, Who art thou King on high, save me and sanctify me, Source of sanctification; For from You all creation is strengthened, To You countless warriors sing the Trisagion hymn. Unworthy of You, who sits in the unapproachable light, of whom all things are terrified, I pray: enlighten my mind, cleanse my heart, and open my lips, so that I may worthily sing to You: Holy, Holy, Holy art thou, Lord, always, now, and ever and to endless ages of ages. Amen."

Perhaps a real feeling of joy will not immediately appear in your soul, but it will certainly appear and grow. With time. That's why it's so important to thank a higher power every day.

Help has been provided - but what about “thank you”?

When young children receive something from adults, they are taught to express gratitude. What kind of Christians are they who accept great gifts from their Creator as a matter of course? In his eyes they look ungrateful, disrespectful, simply ill-mannered. Yes, the adult will feed the child in any case. Just like the Good Creator will always help those who ask. But this is not a reason to take blessings for granted.

Any troubles end sooner or later. And this is always a manifestation of the heavenly Father’s care for his reckless children. It is imperative to say a prayer of gratitude to the Lord God for your help. Perhaps there really is no time to visit the temple, but everyone can find a few minutes to mentally say: “Glory to Thee, Lord!”

Godly Christians have a habit of extolling heavenly powers even when things are not going well. They believe that tests are sent for their own benefit. Having endured them with honor, people hope to become more spiritual and closer to perfection.

Short prayer “Glory to God for everything!” will tell the Creator that you trust Him, believe in His unconditional love and goodness.

How to thank the saints

Orthodox believers practice frequent appeals to famous Christian martyrs, miracle workers, and Angels. For them, they are faithful intercessors, helpers, petitioners before the throne of God the Father. With their support, a person no longer feels like a miserable drop in the stormy ocean of life.

Worries about relatives, worry about what will happen tomorrow are very common even for Christians. Fate is unknown to them, only one thing is certain - death. This brings melancholy and even despair to many. But it is quite possible to get rid of the feeling of hopelessness thanks to the good righteous. Through their prayers, the Holy Spirit descends from heaven. He suggests the right way out of the situation, calms and consoles the weak.

Universal Prayer of Thanksgiving for All Saints

There is a special prayer of grace for saints. It is universal: suitable as an address to both the Guardian Angel and your favorite heavenly inhabitant.

Holy God and rest in the saints, praised by the thrice-holy voice in heaven from angels, praised on earth by man in His saints; Who by Your Holy Spirit gave grace to everyone according to the bestowal of Christ, and by that appointed to Your Church the holy apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, whose word of preaching, to You Himself who acted all in all, accomplished many saints in every generation and kind, having pleased You with various virtues, and to You, leaving us with an image of their good deeds, in the joy that has passed, prepare, in which the temptations themselves were, and help us those who are attacked. Remembering all these saints and praising their godly lives, I praise You Himself, who acted in them, and believing in Your goodness, the gift of being, I diligently pray to You, Holy of Holies, grant to me a sinner to follow their teaching, life, love, faith, patience, and through their prayerful help, and moreover through Your all-effective grace, the heavenly ones with them will be honored with glory, praising Your Most Holy Name, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever. Amen.

As a special thank you to the saint, you can read an akathist, a church troparion, specially compiled for him. But you can use the words that come to your heart.

Prayer of thanksgiving to the Mother of God

Believers know how powerful sincere prayers to the Mother of God are. She saves from illness, sends relief to the soul in sorrow, and through her prayers family conflicts are resolved. You can also read words of gratitude to the Mother of God every day, just like you can to God.

It occupies a special position in the Orthodox faith. The Mother of God is considered so holy that she surpasses all other people and even angels in the purity of her soul. That is why a special prayer appeal has been compiled for her:

We praise you, Mother of God; We confess You, Mary, the Virgin Mother of God; The whole earth magnifies You, the Eternal Father's Daughter. All Angels and Archangels and all Principalities humbly serve You; All Powers, Thrones, Dominions and all the highest Powers of heaven obey you. The Cherubim and Seraphim stand before You rejoicing and cry out with an unceasing voice: Holy Mother of God, the heavens and earth are full of the majesty of the glory of the fruit of Your womb. The Mother praises the glorious apostolic face of her Creator to you; The Mother of God magnifies many martyrs for you; The glorious host of confessors of God the Word gives you a temple; To you the ruling Poles preach the image of virginity; All the heavenly hosts praise you, the Queen of Heaven. Throughout the entire universe the Holy Church glorifies you, honoring the Mother of God; He extols thee true King of heaven, the Maiden. You are the Angel Lady, You are the door of heaven, You are the ladder of the Kingdom of Heaven, You are the palace of the King of glory, You are the ark of piety and grace, You are the abyss of bounties, You are the refuge of sinners. You are the Mother of the Savior, you received freedom for the sake of a captive man, you received God in your womb. The enemy has been trampled upon by you; You have opened the doors of the Kingdom of Heaven to the faithful. You stand at the right hand of God; You pray to God for us, Virgin Mary, who will judge the living and the dead. We therefore ask You, Intercessor before Your Son and God, Who redeemed us with Your blood, so that we may receive the reward in eternal glory. Save Thy people, O Mother of God, and bless Thy inheritance, for let us be partakers of Thy inheritance; preserve and keep us even unto the ages. Every day, O Most Holy One, we wish to praise and please You with our hearts and lips. Grant, Most Merciful Mother, now and always to preserve us from sin; have mercy on us, Intercessor, have mercy on us. May Thy mercy be upon us, as we trust in Thee forever. Amen.

There is an icon of the Mother of God in every home; you can turn to the Lady before any image. You can also express your gratitude by purchasing a church candle. A very good deed is donation to the poor, some good deed for orphans. After all, this is what Christians should do - help those who need support. If all goes well, never forget about the weak, needy, hurt and lost souls.

The Impact of Gratitude

The Lord and the saints do not require our gratitude as something necessary for life. She just brings joy to their hearts. Because it testifies to spiritual growth. This means that a person becomes a little closer to righteousness. And for every good deed there is always great joy in heaven. It's like watching a spoiled child finally do the right thing. Parents will certainly be in high spirits. And the person praying will immediately feel better in his soul.

  • Of course, gratitude to God and all the saints must be sincere. It is not enough to simply submit a note, pay the money and leave with a feeling of accomplishment.
  • After all, the Lord does not need payment or an offering in the form of candles. He wants to see our location.
  • Doesn't the father rejoice when the child says: “I love you!” This is what Christians should learn - to relate to God as their heavenly parent.

Daily gratitude can give a lot to our soul, even improve our life circumstances. This is exactly what will happen as we begin to put our soul in order. Demons simply cannot attack someone whose thoughts are aimed only at good. This is what constant prayer teaches. Only not mechanical muttering, but true spiritual work becomes the very staircase that leads to heaven.
